Spylie: Phone Detective
Croncode LLC
Effective date: July 21, 2026
Last updated: September 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Croncode LLC ("Croncode," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Spylie: Phone Detective mobile application ("Spylie" or the "App").
Spylie is an entertainment product. All cases, characters, messages, photos, apps, events, and simulated phone content in the App are fictional and created for interactive storytelling. Spylie is not a real surveillance, tracking, hacking, or investigation tool and does not provide access to another person's device or private information.
1. Information We Collect
The information processed depends on how you use the App, whether you sign in, whether you purchase Premium, and whether ads are displayed.
Account and profile information
If you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive:
- An Apple-provided user identifier
- Your name, if you choose to share it
- Your email address, including an Apple private relay address, if you choose to share it
- A display name and related account status used within the App
Gameplay and cloud-save information
When cloud sync is available and you are signed in, we may process gameplay information such as:
- Active and completed cases
- Case progress, unlocked content, evidence and progress flags
- In-case dialogue or chat history
- Hint credits and similar save-state information
- Premium entitlement status and cloud-save timestamps
This is fictional gameplay data. Spylie does not upload the real messages, photos, contacts, call history, notes, or other private content stored on your device.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple and RevenueCat process information needed to offer, validate, restore, and manage Premium subscriptions. This may include product identifiers, purchase history, subscription status, transaction or receipt information, and an app-user identifier. Croncode does not receive or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Advertising, usage, and diagnostic information
Free users may see ads provided through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process:
- Coarse location inferred from an IP address
- Device identifiers, such as an advertising identifier when available and permitted, or other app- or device-level identifiers
- Advertising data, including ads viewed and interactions with ads
- Product interaction data, such as app launches, taps, and video or ad interactions
- Crash data
- Performance data, such as launch time, hang rate, or energy usage
- Other diagnostic data used to measure, secure, and improve advertising services
Google may use this information for third-party advertising, advertising or marketing measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement. The exact information available to Google can depend on your device settings, region, consent choices, and whether tracking permission has been granted.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Spylie may schedule local reminders on your device about cases, mysteries, or story progress. The current App design does not upload your notification content to Croncode for remote push messaging.
Support communications
If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, device or app details, and information needed to investigate your request.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the App
- Authenticate users through Sign in with Apple
- Save and synchronize gameplay progress
- Process, validate, and restore subscriptions
- Provide Premium features and manage entitlements
- Display and measure ads for free users
- Provide an optional rewarded-ad flow for in-game hints
- Analyze performance, diagnose crashes, prevent fraud, and improve reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
3. Advertising and Tracking Choices
Spylie may display interstitial ads at appropriate gameplay breaks and optional rewarded ads that offer an in-game hint after the applicable reward conditions are satisfied.
Where required, access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is subject to the AppTrackingTransparency permission. If tracking permission is not granted, the IDFA is not available to the App for tracking. Ads may still be shown using contextual, limited, or non-personalized signals, subject to applicable law, device settings, and Google's advertising controls.
You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. You may also be able to manage ad personalization through your Apple or Google advertising settings and any consent interface presented in the App.
Premium features may remove ads when and as stated on the applicable purchase screen. Subscription terms shown at purchase time control if they differ from a general description in this policy.
4. How We Disclose Information
We disclose information only as needed to operate the App, provide advertising and subscription services, comply with law, or protect rights and security. Service providers may include:
- Apple: App Store distribution and billing, Sign in with Apple, device services, and subscription management
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads: Advertising delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related analytics
- RevenueCat: Subscription entitlement management, purchase validation, and subscription analytics
- Supabase: Authentication support, account profiles, cloud save, and hosted database services
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and may act as processors, service providers, or independent controllers depending on the service and applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money. Disclosures to an advertising provider may be considered "sharing," "targeted advertising," or "cross-context behavioral advertising" under certain privacy laws. Where required, we provide or honor applicable consent and opt-out choices.
5. Data Linked to You and Data Not Linked to You
Account information, user identifiers, gameplay content, purchase status, and some advertising or usage information may be linked to your account, app-user identifier, or device.
Some diagnostic information, including certain crash, performance, and other technical data, may be processed without being linked to your identity. The App Store privacy label provides a summary and should be read together with this policy.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EEA, United Kingdom, or similar laws apply, we process information under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract, including providing the App, Premium features, account services, and cloud save
- Consent, including where required for tracking, personalized advertising, or notifications
- Legitimate interests, including security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, product improvement, and limited advertising operations
- Compliance with legal obligations
You may withdraw consent where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and cloud-save information for as long as your account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the App, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Supabase is governed by their applicable policies and legal obligations.
Local save data and preferences remain on your device until you reset the App, remove the data using available controls, or delete the App. Subscription and transaction records may be retained where required for billing, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
8. Account and Data Deletion
Where available, you can request deletion of your Spylie cloud account from the App's settings. You may also contact us at [email protected].
Deleting a Spylie account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Apple and other providers may retain transaction records where legally required.
9. Children
Spylie is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Transfers
Croncode and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent or appeal a privacy decision. You may submit a request to [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
You may also manage:
- Sign in with Apple permissions through your Apple ID settings
- Tracking permission through iOS privacy settings
- Subscriptions through iOS subscription settings
- Local notifications through iOS notification settings
