Users should avoid uploading or submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information through the app.

5. How Data Is Collected

We collect data through several methods:

7. AI Processing, AI Providers, and User Consent

YourStyle uses third-party AI services as part of its core functionality. These services are used to process user-provided inputs in order to generate outputs such as visual try-on results, image-based transformations, style recommendations, text-based assistance, and related AI-powered features.

7.1 What Data May Be Sent to AI Providers

When a user chooses to use AI-powered features, the following categories of data may be transmitted for processing:

  • Uploaded images, including outfit photos, try-on images, wardrobe images, or other user-submitted visual content.
  • Text inputs, prompts, style instructions, descriptions, and related user requests.

7.2 Which AI Providers May Receive Data

Depending on the feature used, data may be transmitted to one or more of the following third-party providers:

  • OpenAI – for text processing, conversational styling, and related AI interactions.
  • Google Gemini – for image and text generation, interpretation, and related processing.
  • FAL.AI – for image processing, image generation, visual transformation, and related workflows.

7.3 Why Data Is Sent to AI Providers

This data transmission is necessary to provide the AI-powered features requested by the user. Without sending the relevant images or text inputs, the requested AI output cannot be generated.

7.4 In-App Disclosure and User Permission

Before any user image or user text input is transmitted to a third-party AI provider, the app informs the user inside the app:

  • what data will be sent;
  • which third-party AI provider or providers may receive the data; and
  • why the data is being sent.

The app then requests the user’s explicit permission before proceeding with the AI request. If the user does not provide consent, the relevant AI processing does not proceed.

7.5 What We Do Not Do With AI Data

We do not:

  • sell user data;
  • use user data for advertising purposes;
  • use user data for cross-app or third-party tracking;
  • use user data to train third-party AI models where stated otherwise in our service design and disclosures.

AI providers may temporarily process or retain data only as needed to provide the requested service and according to their applicable policies and technical requirements.

8. Sharing of Data

We do not sell personal data. We share data only in limited circumstances described below.

8.1 Service Providers and Infrastructure Partners

We may share data with trusted service providers that help us operate the app and provide its features, including:

  • OpenAI – for text-based AI processing and related AI features.
  • Google Gemini – for image and text AI processing.
  • FAL.AI – for image processing and visual AI generation.
  • Supabase – for database services, authentication, storage, and related backend infrastructure.
  • Apple / Google services – for diagnostics, crash reporting, and platform-related technical services.

Data is shared only to the extent reasonably necessary for the service provider to perform the requested function.

8.2 Equal or Comparable Protection

All third-party providers we work with are required to process data securely, maintain confidentiality, and provide a level of privacy and data protection that is equal to or comparable to our own standards, consistent with applicable legal and contractual requirements.

8.3 Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, court order, governmental request, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with legal obligations;
  • protect our rights or property;
  • protect user safety;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or
  • enforce our terms and policies.

8.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, asset sale, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.

9. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

  • Account data may be retained until the user deletes the account or requests deletion, subject to legal or operational requirements.
  • User-uploaded images and content may remain available until the user deletes them or requests deletion.
  • Support messages and feedback may be retained as needed to respond, resolve issues, maintain records, and improve services.
  • Crash logs, technical diagnostics, and security records may be retained for a limited period as reasonably necessary for debugging, reliability, compliance, and security.
  • AI-related data may be temporarily retained by third-party AI providers only to the extent necessary to process the request and operate their services under applicable terms.

10. User Choices and Controls

Users may have the following controls within the app or through contacting us:

  • choosing whether to upload images or content;
  • choosing whether to enter prompts or text into AI tools;
  • choosing whether to grant consent before AI data is transmitted;
  • managing or deleting certain content within the app; and
  • requesting deletion or assistance by contacting us.

If a user does not want images or text inputs to be transmitted to third-party AI providers, the user should not consent to AI processing and should avoid using the relevant AI features.

11. User Rights

Depending on the user’s location and applicable law, users may have certain privacy rights, including the right to:

  • request access to their personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request a copy of certain personal data;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable by law.

To submit a privacy-related request, contact us using the contact details in Section 18 below. We may need to verify the identity of the requesting person before completing certain requests.

12. Security Measures

We use reasonable and industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include:

  • encrypted transmission using SSL/TLS or equivalent secure protocols;
  • secure cloud infrastructure and access control systems;
  • authentication and authorization protections;
  • role-based access restrictions where appropriate; and
  • monitoring for service reliability and security events.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable steps to protect data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed, stored, or accessed in countries other than the country in which you reside, including the United States and the European Union, depending on the location of our systems and third-party service providers.

Where required, we take steps intended to ensure that international data transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

14. Third-Party Services and External Policies

The app may use or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to AI services, cloud infrastructure, analytics, platform services, and diagnostics services. These providers may have their own privacy policies and practices.

Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of relevant third-party providers where appropriate. Use of such third-party services may also be subject to their terms and policies.

15. Children’s Privacy

YourStyle is not intended for children under the age of 13, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children who are not permitted to use the app.

If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Parents or guardians who believe a child may have provided personal data to us may contact us using the details below.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, technologies, or service features.

When we make updates, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the app after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.

17. Legal Basis and Regional Compliance Note

Where required by applicable law, we process personal data on the basis of one or more of the following:

  • the user’s consent;
  • the necessity of processing to provide requested services or perform our contract with the user;
  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the app; and
  • compliance with legal obligations.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that users may have under applicable data protection laws.
